Soha Ali Khan the beautiful petite actress says her mother is a terrifying woman. She said she knows this because she lives with her, and she says she’s like this because she’s a perfectionist and she pays attention to the smallest of things and Soha being all over the place doesn’t even sometimes know where her belongings are. Both Soha and Sharmila are doing a film together now and Soha said she loves it, as it’s with family and she said its good to have a person like that on the sets with you as her mum knows what its like to be a female actor. It also helps Soha as her mum gives her tips and tells her when she needs to improve on things. She said working with her brother Saif was good as they share a lot in common and again it was with family.

· Cut the corners of your hair, extra hair always adds weight dragging the hair down. If your hair is in a single length then try adding layer to it for more volume

· You should always blow dry your hair upside down. Once it has been blow dried upside down switch the dryer to cool mode to direct it to the roots which adds volume to your hair

· Try to pin up your hair in rollers for 20mins, take out the rollers and finger comb, this will defiantly add volume

Move More

Make sure you move you body as much as you can on a daily basis. The best way to move your body is taking the stairs rather than the left or escalators or elevators. Not only this but even doing household chores makes a big of a difference.

Cut Fat

It is always best to avoid obvious fats such as fried food, burgers, red meat. Other products to keep in mind are dairy products such as milk, cheese and cream they should all be eaten in their low fat versions.

Quit Smoking

Smoking is harmful for you and your body, and if living with a family it is also harmful for them too. Smoking cause many diseases and problems such as cancer. It is always best to quit smoking, and you can start by quitting one by one everyday.

If most of your time is spent at work sitting behind a desk, you can always do a little exercise at work too. Always try to get up at least once in an hour to get some tea or walk around, go out for a walk at lunch time, stretch your arms and legs while sitting on the chair.

Along with losing eight you also lower your blood pressure. This is known as placebo effect in scientific terms by doctors, and it has been seen in medical trails when patients have responding by taking dummy pills.

Psychologists at Harvard University studied 84 women who worked as hotel housekeepers, their job involved cleaning rooms and changing bed sheets. Half of the housekeepers were told that they lost a certain amount of calories do certain jobs, the other half weren’t told anything. Four weeks done the line the housekeepers that were told about the calories burned lost some weight and lowered their blood pressure and body fat, the other half did not lower on anything. It is all psychological, which costs you nothing and only benefits you.

By doing yoga you benefit your body a lot, it helps you from the outside as well as the inside. To derive maximum benefits of yoga it is best to practice only on an empty stomach and there should be a gap of at least three hours after lunch, and there should be a gap of at least one hour after practicing yoga for taking solid meal. You should always be relaxed mentally and physically. To get a good feeling it is suggested to practice yoga after taking a shower or bath. The most important thing is that make sure when you practice yoga you use a soft mattress for comfort.

Dating used to be virtually non existant in India about a decade ago with an exception of big cities where people had a little bit of a western touch to thier lives.Times have changed now and with the advent of satellite television and more and more open approach of bollywood films the idea of dating seems to have caught up and has become a way of life among youngsters of Indian cities.Not having a boyfriend or a girlfriend is considered to be sad and having a partner is the most in thing in colleges.

The most prominent reason for dating getting popular as opposed to arranged marriages is that women are becoming more and more independent and have stared working in large numbers now as opposed to ten years ago.

Bollywoods walk of fame

On Saturday 24th February was a night to remember for all bollywood stars and celebrities. It was the 52nd Fair One Filmfare Awards 2006.

The evening belonged to three main films which were, Rang De Basanti, Omkara and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Rang De Basanti walked away with five awards, Omkara took home eight awards and Lage Raho Munna Bhai swept away with five awards.

Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan has had a busy schedule and de to this as heard recently he was admitted into hospital, as he was getting chest pains. His mum Sharmila said he smokes a lot and he has to stop. Both sister Soha and girlfriend Rosa rushed to hospital with Saif to accompany him. Saif is in a better state and we hope he gets back to normal soon.
