Although the Bollywood Mallika Sherawat didn’t make many hit films in Bollywood, she defiantly caught the eyes of many people with her sexy looks. Mallika was born on October 24 1981, in Rohtak which is in the state of Haryana. What many people do not know is that Mallika’s real name is not Mallika and in fact is Reema Lamba. Before acting Mallika was an airhostess and was married to Captain Karan Singh Gill, a Jet Airways Pilot, later on they have separated and are not divorced. Mallika had a few films bagged in the start of her career, but now nothing seems to be coming her way, lets see what the future holds for her.

Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal

Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, which was released in November last year was productively completed its 50 days. This film was one such film for which there were not a lot positive points written about all through its making or promotion leading to its release. During the 50 day run, the film made around to 17 crores, and that too just from India box office. The movie Goal stars John Abraham, Bispasha Basu, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. The story of the film is based on a Asian community who live in the UK, and they phase in life about playing professional football.

Ashoka The Great

The grand plans of the Santoshi-Devgan team will continue with their next project, ASHOKA THE GREAT, based on the three phases and two generations of Emperor Ashoka. The film is expected to go on the floors soon. An interesting aspect of the project is that the super actor, Ajay Devgan, is likely to be seen in a triple role - young Ashoka, the sixty plus Ashoka and also as the son of Ashoka, Kunal. He will have for company the dusky beauty, Bipasha Basu. It will be a mega-budget film along the lines of the Hollywood film Gladiator, on the life and times of Ashoka. As for Ajay, he is very excited about the film. In fact, he says this script is by far the best he had heard in all these years. Santoshi says the idea of making a film on Ashoka came to him while he was researching for another project on the Ramayana.

Our top Bollywood stars are amongst the highest taxpayers. Bollywood is certainly going the corporate way. Multi-film deals, stars and their contracts with film studios, multiplexes getting in box office figures – corporate Bollywood have finally arrived. Our top Bollywood stars are amongst the highest taxpayers. 2007 surely seems to belong to Akshay Kumar as he has been reported as the highest Bollywood tax payer of the year. The actor has paid a whopping Rs. 26 crores ($6.5million) this year in taxes as he has signed a couple of big budget projects. The estimate of the tax figure paid by the top seven stars is expected to touch the Rs 100 crore-mark, which indeed will give a boost to the Income Tax Department. Last year, Amitabh Bachchan paid a whopping Rs 15.59 crore in taxes. This was followed by Hrithik Roshan who paid Rs.15.10 crore. Shah Rukh Khan shelled out Rs 14 crore in taxes.

Bollywood Stars At Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds, London, has been making wax figures for over 150 years. Each masterpiece takes four months and a team of 20 dedicated sculptors to create. And this time Salman Khan will join Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, who have already been immortalized in wax at Tussauds. According to the latest news Salman Khan’s wax statue will be unveiled in London’s Madame Tussauds on January 15. Salman was recently measured and photographed by expert Madame Tussauds sculptors in Mumbai to kick-start painstaking work on his eagerly awaited wax double. Salman, who was last seen on the big screen in Saawariya beat nine other Indian mega stars including Madhuri Dixit and Abhishek Bachan to be immortalized at the world famous attraction after a public poll conducted this summer. Over 10,000 votes were received, and Salman emerged the clear winner. Salman has already chosen and donated clothes for the figure to wear and recorded an exclusive video message that will be shown to Madame Tussauds visitors following the big ‘reveal.’
